YOUR BEGINNINGS WILL SEEM HUMBLE, SO PROSPEROUS WILL YOUR FUTURE BE (Job 8:7).

WELCOME BACK GOD PARENT TEAM

We sure wish everyone could have been at the orphanage this trip, as prayers are starting to be answered right before our eyes. Even the puppy is growing into a dog...

Godparents in Blue shirts (donated by "Sailorman" in Ft. Lauderdale) live in Haiti.
Godmother Lesley Warrick is the executive Director with "Seafarers House" in Port Everglades Florida. Lesley has donated terrific "Pray for Haiti" red white and blue T-shirts for the American Godparents, and is helping to push our application to "Food for the Poor" as only she can. Lesley has an amazing way with connecting the right people to help our Godchildren.

While in Haiti July 20th (Happy Birthday Martine!)
Godmama, Martine was blessed to share her birthday celebration with Rosenerlande and Dacheline whose birthdays also were in July, but also was overwhelmed with joy as she celebrated her special day with ALL her children both birthed and adopted.

IN HAITI

Spaghetti Dinner brought huge smiles and comfort to everyone.

UPDATE ON SECURITY WALL PARTIALLY DESTROYED BY EARTHQUAKE

Praise God for the Security Wall being erected provided to us from Godmother Barbi of "Mission Love Seeds" through grant received from The Grace Foundation in Destin Florida.

The Security Wall finally completed has been welcomed by staff of KTFN who can finally get some real sleep at night as they had to take turns to stay up all night to guard the children and premises.

Work on Securing the Gates has begun too. One Miracle after the next. Keep your prayers going as God is working!

FIRST FIELD TRIP OF KOMINOTE TI FANMI NOU de DIAKONOS INTERNATIONAL

A Bus rented for the first field trip to the beach, was the happiest time ever for everyone housed at Kominote Ti Fanmi Nou de Diakonos International. A dream come true to just forget any troubles for a whole day.

PRIVATE BEACH HOUSE DONATED

We applaud Lesly Delney (front left with white teacher) for donating his time and private beach home to make the children happy and joyous. The children had lots and lots of fun. Everyone had a blast. A great treat for Founder Martine Longchamp who go to not only share her birthday celebrate with Rosenerlande and Dacheline, but also celebrate with ALL her children both birthed and adopted.

In Miami:
Lesley Warrick has also hooked us up with Ginger who manages a Cruise line who has donated over 200 pillows and pallets full of gallons of Skin Lotion and Hair care products.
Meg, Joei and Rob above with Pillows in Miami Shipping Terminal.

In Destin Florida:
Godfather Earl has sent 30 new cots to the same shipping terminal Warehouse where the Cruise line donations are, already in Maimi. Sooner than we think the children will finally sleep comfortably on their own brand new cots instead of the floor in the large tent donated by UNICEF.

Ft. Lauderdale:
Godmother Gladys and her son Ted have been waiting to have all the donations brought to the shipping terminal,

This Update just came in as this blog is being written: All the pillows and cots are on the way to Haiti today.

Captain Joei and her Team have rented a giant 10' X 20' expensive storage warehouse, it's full of donations from Big Mama's "Team Of Life", John Muir and Harry Horgans "Shake a Leg Miami", and many other Godparents. There are TOOLS, wood, doors, 3 sewing machines, 4 office chairs, 2 coffee tables, 2 living room chairs, 2 perfect (and heavy) desks, and many, many boxes full of blessings. Any ideas how to move it all from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami is appreciated. Contact Captain Joei MSCAPTJO@AOL.COM

Captain Joei and Jane in front of the storage warehouse in Ft. Lauderdale

Just last week, Godmother Jane Carron (in the middle) from "Generous Hearts Ministry" in Destin Florida drove her vehicle FULL of donations to the storage warehouse in Ft. Lauderdale and has offered to purchase a small diesel vehicle for us to ship.

Transportation has been very expensive in Haiti. Captain Joei is searching for the right vehicle at the right price, so PLEASE keep your eyes peeled for something economical, preferably diesel with largest seating possible. Maybe a double cab little p/u truck with a cap, or a UPS panel truck, or mini passenger van or mini-bus. Anything dependable at a reasonable price. If you see anything please call her at (954) 763-6733 from anywhere in the USA or Haiti.

WHEN WE CALL, GOD ANSWERS

God really answers before we really call on Him, especially when it is something we can't do or seems an impossible reach for us. He especially loves the prayers of children.  They are usually very innocent, sincere and their belief system is not clouded by their experiences, so they are able to trust that God will answer their prayers for sure more than we as adults.

Kominote Ti Fanmi Nou de Diakonos' children love the Lord so much. They wake up every morning between 5am and 6 am for their morning devotion and between 7pm and 8pm for their nightly devotion. The worship is usually led by Roodyna, seen here at the podium. Their play time mostly include make believe church and preaching, as seen in these pictures. Our little boy Herve, sitting on front the left, sometimes shares his pastoral duties with Abraham with Roodyna as the worship pastor and Mirna, seen next to her below, as the assistant worship leader.

It is written in 1 Corinthian 2:9: Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.

These children have gone through so many disasters in their little lives than most of us have seen in our entire lifetime.  I'm quite advanced in age and I have not experienced half of what they, at 5 through 16, have seen especially in the last year or so and, I started with the 5 year olds because before that they probably might not understand their calamities. From insecurity since 1986, to 4 devastating hurricanes in September 2008, to mudslides in September of 2009, and the infamous earthquake of January 12, 2010. How much more do you think these little children can survive?

But God hears their little prayers and He answers them and "delivers them out of all their troubles". These are the real SURVIVORS. Ummm!! That's sounds like a good title for show to me.

These lively tent church ceremonies are so wonderful, not only for the children who have fun, but I imagine that God looks forward to these momentss and quickly rolls HIS his high golden chair right on the edge of the universe to look down and enjoy the spectacular view of these kids' worship sessions.

How then could HE have not answered a simple little prayer like "give us running water".

So HE sent his helpers and they worked and worked and finally got them running water. What a beautiful sight!  Finally running water in the house. Now all they need is a water tank to keep the water in.

DIAKONOS-KTFN PRIORITIES

Dear Friends:

Sad to report that we have seen many more great tragedies during the last few months. Our Godchildren have very little rice left and are living in deplorable conditions. The rains are flooding the tent and entire yard. The boys help by being a bucket brigade but they get little sleep soaking wet.

Priority list:

#1 priority is Security. With looting………..

Praise God for the generosity of Mission Love Seeds. They are helping us rebuild our walls and gates to provide the security and protection for our children. They are doing wonderful work for Gods children in Haiti and in the Philippines, MLS is a great organization whose group of people have HUGE hearts.
2nd priority to get beds for the children. Due to the recent earthquake in Haiti, the orphanage building is deemed unsafe which has forced our children to sleep outside indefinitely on cement bricks in a tent provided by UNICEF.  The conditions in which these children are sleeping are deplorable and yet this is all they have until the house can be rebuilt to safely house them. Humanitarian photographer Earl Baumgardner is working on getting sleeping cots for our children to have adequate bedding.

3rd Priority Water. Water is the most important thing to the survival of a human being.  Our bodies are comprised of 55% to 78% water depending on body size (according to Wikipedia Encyclopedia) …….

We have to buy water daily. It is costing us over $250 per month for water. And that’s not buying drinking water. Who would want water off a truck anyway?

5th Priority Food. According to studies, chronic hunger weakens bones and muscles; increases risk of illness; makes existing health problems worse and contributes to depression and lack of energy. Food prices have tripled in Haiti since the earthquake.

When Anderson came into the home, he was initially very weak and suffered from malnutrition, but his condition has greatly stabilized after adequate nutrition and proper care. He is slowly opening up to laugh and play with his caregivers and the other orphans. Miracles do happen every day.

Here is how you can help:

•    Pray daily for the orphans, abandoned and homeless children of the world.
